Fortune cookie fortune writing guesses

"The one who never makes a guess must never be a good guesser."

In the Saturday post about fortune cookies, you readers were to guess which fortunes I wrote. I wrote three of a list of eight, the five I did not write coming from the website of Josh Madison

I wrote numbers 1, 2, and 6. Number one was, "Fortune smiles for the one who walks clean and healthy." Number two said, "Friends, like silver, are valuable to hold and carelessly lost." And number six was, "Doors now open and close. Choose open doors."

So, how'd you do?

If you peruse the list at Josh Madison's website, you will find some amusingly contradictory and bizarre fortunes. Here are a few:

"Listen not to vain words from empty tongue" is immediately followed by, "Listen to everyone. Ideas come from everywhere."

How does this make you feel? "Success is going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm."

Who wrote this one? Some smart aleck. "You love Chinese food."

As I leave you, remember, "There is no such thing as an ordinary cat."
